West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has committed to resettling 240 refugees over the next 4 years. That equates to 60 refugees per year. In reality this means only 1 family every 6 months will be coming to Horsham District.
There is a steering group who organise the resettlement and hold multi-disciplinary reviews, including representatives from WSCC, HDC, Department for Work and Pensions, Think Family, Horsham and Mid-Sussex Clinical Commission, Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (mental health) and the voluntary and community sector.
Four families have been resettled in Horsham under the SVPRS so far.
